Retreat Ideas

In life, if there is anything we want to do well, we need to nurture it- giving it time and attention. Our faith is no different. We need to set aside special time to focus in an atmosphere of prayer, celebration, challenge and community on our faith lives.

Lara’s retreat experiences will bring the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church to a place where they touch the lives of young people. Solid doctrinal teachings- the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, Sacrament, Morality and Grace- are given new life through music, hands on activities, discussions and personal reflection. The culture of youth is a sacred place and each time she is invited to walk on that holy ground, Lara meets young people and walks alongside them, challenging them to move beyond where they are at.

Lara will work with your retreat team to encourage them to create an environment where the passion will be felt long after the retreat is over. By creating an environment where young people are truly aware of Christ’s presence and they are open to the many blessings and graces in their lives, the retreat becomes more than a weekend. It becomes the way they live.

To quote our new Holy Father, Pope Benedict, in his book “God Is Near Us":

Because this approach no longer believes that faith can actually affect anything, it has, so to say, to outwit God and men with it’s own cleverness and to build something on its own account…For too long already we have talked about man; let us finally talk about God again…people do not need a distraction that will in the end become dreary itself; they are asking for mystery, even if they do not realize it themselves… you cannot touch the Body of the Lord again and again, without being affected by him and challenged by him, being changed and led by him”
